Why County Court Might Not Be The Best Approach
If you are owed money and are having problems collecting, you may feel that County Court action is your only hope. However, depending on the outstanding balance, this is not always the best approach or the most cost-effective.
With high-value debts and the court fee being 5% of the claim, this may not be commercially viable. So, if the debt is undisputed, why not issue and serve a "Statutory Demand" and further "Insolvency Process" where needed? This often gets a much quicker response and has the added benefit of reducing many unnecessary costs.
