Solving Outstanding Solicitor Fees

Video 1 of 4 in our series discussing issues relating to solicitor fee debt.

'Debt' can be defined as an amount of money that is owed from one entity to another. Most debts that we recover from our solicitor clients are what we call "unliquidated". Our clients often work on a retainer or contingency basis or on an hourly rate, but with the ability for the customer to have their costs assessed collection of debts can become a problem.

Outstanding solicitor fees, costs and disbursements are often disputed as they would likely have been paid if the customer was entirely satisfied. So quite often the trail can go cold and the communication with the clients can be lost. It is important to understand why has this happened? Have they moved? Do they have financial difficulties? Or maybe the costs are likely to be disputed and maybe the client does not want to pay.

Here at Town and Country Legal Services we fully understand all of these problems and how to solve them. What's even better, on a commission based arrangement you have nothing to lose. If you are experiencing any of these issues or would just like to find out more information, please give us a call on 01883 212121.
