In 2017 The Financial Lives Survey stated that half of the UK's adult population display one or more characteristics of potential vulnerability. As a result, this vulnerability may impact the customer's ability to confidently and effectively deal with various financial service providers. For this reason, the customer must be treated with the utmost care and forbearance to fully grasp the situation and obtain the best outcome for all parties involved. Not only does this approach ensure that collections can be maintained, it also allows the individual to resolve any credit issues, without any undue stress.
